Canadian Women's National Team

Junior Women's National Team
The Junior Women's National Team will be participating in the World Championships in Chinese Taipei from June 17-26th.  The selection camp for this team will be held in Calgary, Alberta from May 22-30th.  In total, 35 athletes have been invited to try out for Team Canada.

Head Coach Darlene Solie of Regina, Saskatchewan along with assistant coaches Pat Wegner of Saskatoon and Brenda Staniforth of Calgary will be preparing the Jr. Women's Team to compete in the World Championships. Darlene, Brenda and Pat are all former National Team athletes.

George Chase of Whitby, Ontario has been appointed as Team Leader for the Junior Women's team.  George is currently President of Softball Ontario and Past President of Ontario's Provincial Women's Softball Association (PWSA).
This will be George's third year as a Team Leader with Softball Canada's National Team Program.

Senior Women's National Team
The Senior Women's National Team will be holding a selection/training camp in Calgary, Alberta from June 15th to July 22nd.  The athletes selected will be divided into two teams on June 29th - Team Canada and Team Canada
#2.  Both Teams will participate in the Canada Cup from July 3rd -11th in Surrey, BC.   Team Canada will also participate in the Pan American Games in Winnipeg, MB from July 29-August 8th.
